Heavy Petting - Live Halloween Set @ Locale
Heavy Petting halted work in January 2004 after completing
Magical Recipes for the Electric Blender. A year and a half
later, Heavy Petting performed for a Halloween special at
Locale Sundays in Chicago. The set, recorded live to CD,
was timeless in its complexity, offering remixes even of
the classic track "Frankly," as well as new material
that proved the chemistry of Heavy Petting as historic.

station in the height of HP's collaboration mode.

Heavy Petting - hpd1 + hpd2
The first two demos by Heavy Petting, now
compiled onto a single disc, present a very unique direction
in electronic music. Collaborators Alexand Bassett and jRicK
assembled noise and melody into dark yet somhow playful
songs. Performing live restlessly with tracks such as "As
Moths Give Wisdom to the Ants" an epic debut creation,
"Ella" featuring the sampled vocal expressions
of Ella Fitzgerald, and "Long Time" are tracks
that put Heavy Petting on the map in Chicago's fringe art
scene. These demos were completed during 2001 and 2002.
