The New Millennium Orchestra and Katinka Kleijn with special guest j.Rick at the Lake Shore Theater.

Chicago's young professional musicians come together under the direction of Francesco Milioto in an experimental concert featuring a performance of Dmitri Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No 1 with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Katinka Kleijn as solo cellist. A Chicago native, digital composer j.Rick will be in from Los Angeles to re-mix the work in a groundbreaking collaboration with the orchestra. This performance will feature a live visual mix by video artists Byron Durham and Seth Gershberg, co-founders of the grassroots multimedia organization mfchicago.com

This is a special tribute to Art 44/46 artists and Lake View neighborhood community groups, and a bold new direction in classical and electronic music. The evening concludes with a full DJ set by j.Rick.
