THE DESIRE TO BE SOMEWHERE

This is an FTP-based music video collaboration By
jRicK and Karin
ter Laak of Rotterdam, Holland. Footage shot in Berlin,
Rotterdam, Chicago, and areas of Costa Rica. The two artists met
in Berlin, February 2005. The source of ‘the Desire to be
Somewhere New’ is to grow, develop and come forward. The
idea was to shoot film as much as possible and challenge each
other back and forth between Chicago and Rotterdam exchanging
MPG's and MP3's over FTP servers. No Storyboard, no Control, just
driven by fascination. The song eventually used, ‘Transitions’,
was written and performed by Justin specifically for the video
after the raw footage entered the first stages of editing.
